I'm Dan Miller, a Creative Director with 20 years' agency experience,
and a painter, illustrator and printmaker outside of it.

By day, I lead creative teams and direct work across healthcare, professional bodies, fintech and consumer brands — building brand systems, campaigns, and the occasional exhibition space, and mentoring the designers who help make it all happen. It's work I care about: solving real problems within real constraints, for clients who need clarity as much as craft.

Outside the studio, I paint. Mostly in oils, mostly figurative — people in motion, quiet portraits, the kind of emotional states that don't always translate into a brief. It's a different kind of problem-solving, but it comes from the same place: an interest in how an idea becomes something you can actually look at.

This site is where both sides live — the client work, the illustration, and the paintings I make because I want to, not because someone asked.
